Choosing the Right Size

How to Use Your PureCup Menstrual Cup
Preparing Your Menstrual Cup
Before using your menstrual cup for the first time, sterilize it by boiling it in water for 5-7 minutes. Make sure the cup is fully submerged and doesn't touch the bottom of the pot.
Inserting Your Menstrual Cup
Wash
Wash your hands with soap and water.
Fold
Fold your menstrual cup using a preferred folding method, such as the C-fold, punch-down fold, or 7 - fold.
Position
Find a comfortable position, such as squatting or standing with one leg raised
Insert & Release
Gently separate your labia with one hand, and with the other hand, insert the folded menstrual cup into your vagina, aiming towards the base of your spine
Place
Push the cup up until the stem is about 0.5-1 cm inside the vagina
Create a seal
Once the cup is inserted, release the fold, allowing the cup to open and create a seal with your vaginal walls
Ensuring Proper Placement
To check if your menstrual cup is properly placed, run your finger around the base of the cup to ensure it has opened fully and formed a seal. If the cup is not fully open, try rotating it or gently pressing the base to create the seal.

Remove
Gently grasp the base of the cup (not the stem) and pinch to break the seal.
Slowly and carefully wiggle the cup down and out of your vagina.
Avoid pulling the cup out by the stem, as this may cause discomfort and potential spills.

- Empty the collected menstrual fluid into the toilet or sink.
- Rinse the cup with cold water first to prevent staining, then wash it with warm water and a mild, unscented soap.
- Make sure to clean the air holes and the rim of the cup to remove any residue.
- Once the cup is clean, you can re-insert it following the steps in Section 2.
